Mini Sausage Rolls

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300g Beef mince
  • 300g Sausage meat
  • 1 Small brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Garlic glove finely grated
  • 2 Tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 5 Sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 1 Egg, lightly beaten
  • Sesame seeds
  • Tomato sauce, to serve

METHOD:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Line baking tray with baking paper.
  3. Mix both minces, onion, garlic, tomato, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and seasoning together
  4. Cut pastry sheets in three. Roll a mince portion until 25 cm long.
  5. Place down the center of pastry
  6. Whisk egg and brush edges
  7. Roll up to enclose filling and cut into 6 pieces
  8. Place on trays, seam side down
  9. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds
  10. Bake for 15 minutes until golden
  11. Serve with tomato sauce
